11 life questions

Q: How have you changed over the past year?
Personally I feel like I have changed significantly; things have happened that although out of the control of my hands, have benefited me greatly. I feel much more independent, motivated whatever life throws at me, accepting of my circumstances and understanding that the smaller things in life matter the most. I've become to appreciate my family and friends, and all the other blessings I have been granted, and to be ever so thankful for them. I've also (inevitably) lost a lot of people in my life, some are scattered all across the country studying, and some have just become distanced. As a result I've become to feel a lot more liberated, in that I don't have to rely on others for happiness as much. I spend a lot more time in my own head, and I've learnt a lotttttt (and I mean A LOT) about myself. This past year has been a rollercoaster in the simplest sense.

Q: Would you consider yourself lucky? Why?

Very very very. Of course I don't have a ton of money at my disposal, I don't have the natural ability to exceed in many institutions (academia being one of them, I have to work my butt off to get good grades), and I can give you a long list of people who would be conventionally luckier than me. But I've learnt not to take the small things for granted, and for that reason I am lucky. I have a roof over my head, I go to sleep in a bed without no significant worries, I have a wonderful healthy family and friends, I have a chance at doing something with my life, and even if I don't end up with everything I could ever want, at least I tried.

Q: What's your favourite memory?
I have so many! Hearing the news that I was getting a new baby sister probably for now.

Q: If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be?
Somewhere in New York, eating a pizza and reading a book.

Q: Are you a rule breaker by heart?
I don't even know how to answer this. I guess I do stray off, but most of the time I live in fear of the consequences of my actions so I tend to ~play it safe~.

Q: What are you looking forward to?
Everything good to come this year!

Q: Do you like being alone?
Yes, but I like having a balance. I like being alone in that I absolutely adore silence and being able to just sit and do something quietly without having someone next to you (although if I find someone that has the ability of not speaking whilst with me and it not being awkward, I tend to hold on to them). But at the same time I like being around people too. If I start feeling like I'm developing negative thoughts, the gift of having a large family is that I can just go and join them most of the time and fill that need for attention. So yes, being alone is something I enjoy.

Q: Have you ever been in love?
Oh no. I have never even come close to feeling anything like love for a person. It will come though; and I don't believe it'll be a repetitive occurrence. I'll be in love when I find someone that I can just 'click' with, and I'll know if its love or not without any description.

Q: Do you make decisions easily?
Yes and no. Most of the time yes though. This whole answer I have just given is so ironic.

Q: Have you ever been injured?
I was in a car accident once though (thankfully) I only bruised my arm a little and thats about as far as it goes.

Q: Do you form strong friendships?
I don't even realise how strong a friendship is until is comes to an end, and then I don't even class it as a friendship anymore.

Q: What are your biggest pet peeves and annoyances?
Constant swearing, rudeness, dry skin (this made me shiver a little haha).

Exam Season

As you can probably tell by this new post, I am finally free of exams as of yesterday morning!!! ☺☺☺ (ahem, was meant to publish this post a few days ago woops)

I feel so happy, and the concept of being able to sit down and not be doing revision, and not feel guilty is liberating. I hope everyone is fine, and for those that had any sort of examinations, I hope they went well!

Quite a few things have happened since my last post in November; Christmas came and went, 2013 is here (even though those Mayans were up to their shenanigans scaring us all with the end of the world mumbo-jumbo), and I finally got some university offers which I am over the moon about. I really cannot wait to delve even deeper into a subject at undergraduate level that I truly don't class as a burden, rather its as if its my hobby that I occasionally take tests for haha.

I also turned 19, sobsobsob (I felt a slight ache in my heart when I was made to change the 'eighteen y/o' to 'nineteen y/o' in my sidebar bio). It feels weird knowing I only have one more year of being a teenager. Where on earth did the years go?! Though saying that I am so excited for all the good things to come this year and going through some major life changing transitions which come with growing up.

I'll leave you all with some Instagram pictures I have updated since the last post of this kind. Hope you're all well, and I'll be soon back to reviewing products and the sorts x

1. Reading The Alchemist for the 2409430984 time.
2. My absolute princess of a little sister bought me this for my birthday.
3. What I have spent 75% (I like exaggerating) of my time doing in the month of January.
4. Ferreroo
5. Went on a nature walk in Leeds
6. My little baby
7. See number 3
8. In love with this nail polish combo

Back to watching The Mindy Project I go-go!

On a hiatus... of sorts

I am incredibly sorry for being absent on blogspot lately! With my last post being over a month ago it's only right I let you all know I'm taking a break for a while~

I'm just so busy with school lately I haven't found the time to write up a proper post and take pictures to accompany them. With being in the last year of my A-levels I'm having to also apply to Universities, which is so so stressful for me. It's hard enough picking a subject I want to pursue further to degree level, but also picking out which university I would like to spend the next 3 years of my life in is not easy.
Anyhooo, I think I am very nearly done with writing up my personal statement and hopefully will be able to send it off within the next week. Although after I'm done with the university business, I'm also planning to hit the ground running with revising for the exams I have in January. I really do want to do well this year as it's essentially my chance to do something with my life, and I wouldn't want to waste the opportunity. So the last few weeks have been spent getting as much school work done as possible alongside making life-changing decisions, all whilst blasting T-Swiftz new album Red through my earphones. Oh Taylor, bless your heartbreaks which make for pretty catchy song lyrics.

I'll be back soon hopefully, as soon as I get back on track with my normal life. I'll still be around reading blog posts though!

See you all soon x
